10 DAYS Kenya Classic Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Sweetwater’s

After breakfast at 07:30, you will be picked up from the hotel and head northwards towards Mount Kenya to feel the cool temperature of the region and arrive at Sweetwater’s Game Reserve for lunch at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp. In this reserve, you will be able to see chimpanzees, buffalos, and lions. After that, you will proceed for the afternoon game drive at Ewaso Ng’iro river which is known for its boat riding before going back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay. –

Day 2: Sweetwater’s – Aberdare’s

After breakfast, you will set off for Aberdare National Park. The park is well known for its unique vegetation. Upon arrival at the park, you will have lunch at the Outspan Hotel, the base hotel for treetops. The afternoon will be spent by watching wildlife at the floodlit Salt Lick Waterhole. You will have dinner and stay overnight at Treetops Lodge which, as the name suggests, is structured on the top of the tree. –

Day 3: Treetops Lodge – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will leave the lodge at 07:30 and head to Lake Nakuru National Park. Your arrival in Nakuru will be around noon with lunch being taken at Lake Nakuru Lodge or other similar places. After that, you will proceed for the afternoon game viewing ,drive in the park where you will see tree climbing lions. In this lake, you will admire the flamingos, both the greater and the lesser ones, that cover the entire lake and hence make its name “the birds sanctuary” or the pink lake. After that, you will go back to the lodge/tented Camp for your dinner and overnight stay. –

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

After breakfast, you will continue with a morning game drive. Then, you will leave Lake Nakuru through the Great Rift Valley View Point where you will see the wonderful eruption of the land as you head to Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge or other similar places. It will be followed by an afternoon game viewing before you go back to the lodge/Tented Camp for your dinner and overnight stay. –

Day 5: Masai Mara

In the early morning, you will have your breakfast at the lodge then proceed for a full day game drive in the park where your picnic lunch will be served at Mara River. In the river, you will not only enjoy its cool breeze but also its spectacular annual migration of both zebras and the wildebeests in between July and September. After that, you will go back to the lodge/Tented Camp for your dinner and overnight stay. –

Day 6: Masai Mara –Isebania -Serengeti

This will be a travel day to Tanzania. Early morning breakfast, drive to Serare border point and after immigration formalities cross to Tanzania and proceed to Serengeti. Lunch served on your way. You will arrive in your tented Camp late in the evening. Overnight at lodge/Tented Camp at Serengeti. All meals included. 

Day 7: Serengeti

Game driving in Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle Overnight at Lodge/Tented Camp All meals included

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area descending into the crater for a wonderful Adventure game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside. The Ngorongoro Crater considered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000-foot high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. You might expect to see the Big Five in one day. After the day’s activities, you will proceed to Lake Manyara for an overnight at the lodge/Tented camp

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park – Amboseli National Park

Today, you will visit the last national park on the Northern Circuit Tanzania. After breakfast, you will descend to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, which is uncharacteristic for lions to climb trees. A large area of the park covers the alkaline Manyara Lake, which is seasonally visited by large colonies of flamingo and other water birds. On the lakeshore, you can spot elephants, hippos, buffalo, banded mongoose, various antelopes, and gazelles. Later, you will proceed to Amboseli with on the way dinner and an overnight at a lodge/ Tented Camp.

Day 10: Amboseli National Park

Today, you will have early morning game drive over the park’s dusty roads (giving the true meaning in Maa language, Amboseli means dusty whirlwinds), you’re likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, gazelles, impala, and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of birdlife (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs will be stunning with elephants and other wildlife, which makes Amboseli popular as there in hundreds. Return to the lodge/camp for breakfast and then leave Amboseli for Nairobi where the Safari ends
