The 5 days Uganda Rwanda safari includes chimpanzee tracking or habituation experience in Kibale Forest; game drives and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park and gorilla tracking in the northern sector of bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Day 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest national park
Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel and proceed to Kibale forest national park. It is a 4 hours drive to Kibale forest. After lunch at Chimp nest Lodge enjoy an afternoon nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary – a home to beautiful forest birds including blue Turraco; primates, butterflies, etc. Overnight stay at Primates Lodge Kibale or similar
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
After breakfast transfer to Kanyanchu kibale forest park headquarters for a briefing from the park ranger and at 8:00 am the guide will transfer you to the trail head – the beginning point of chimpanzee tracking. This activity normally takes 4 hours. In the after lunch transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Visit the salt mining quarry at Katwe before checking in at the lodge. Overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park
Very early in the morning, begin with a game drive following the Kasenyi track anticipating lions, leopards, antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, etc. Return to the lodge for your breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The wildlife along the river banks is overwhelming. This is the major highlight of this park. Overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge / Enganzi Lodge / Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 4: Game drive in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi
Begin with a game drive in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park – the Ishasha game reserve. The tree climbing lions in this part of the park are a big spectacle; elsewhere you can locate them in the northern part of Tanzania – Lake Manyara and Serengeti national parks. Proceed to Bwindi Forest national park for your overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Silverback Lodge where Gorillas sometimes spend an overnight with guests at a fireplace.
<strong>Day 5: Gorilla Tracking and transfer to Kigali international airport
In the morning our tour guide will lead you to the park headquarters for briefing from the park ranger and begin your gorilla trek. Every gorilla family is visited by a maximum of 8 people on a daily basis. After spending at least an hour with the gorillas return to the lodge for a hot lunch and transfer to Rwanda for you evening scheduled flight.
