8 DAYS KENYA/ TANZANIA SAFARI
This Safari combines Kenya Masai Mara and extends to into Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park
Day 1: Nairobi/ Maasai Mara
We pick you for the Masai Mara with stop at the Great Rift Valley. Driving on through Longonot and Suswa and on to the Western walls with stopover at Narok for re-fuelling and lunch arriving in the Mara in time for evening wildlife viewing in the Mara popular for the Big five(Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffalo and Rhinos). Masai Mara is one of the largest National parks and the most famous in Kenya. It is located southwestern Kenya. The locals call the place the Mara.Named after the local inhabitants, the Maasai. Masai Mara Game Reserve is the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Being in the world records as the home of the seventh wonder of the world, it is famous for the annual great migration.
The team returns to Camp late in the evening just in time for dinner. A campfire gathering under the clear Africa’s Sky follows after Overnight at Lodge. All meals included.
Day 2: Maasai (Full Day)
A full day spent at the Masai Mara game reserve, across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, Cheetahs and leopards with picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during this period of the annual migrations take place, when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the Mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass from the Serengeti. You also have a chance to see other Wild game like the Topi, hartebeest, Eland .Dinner and overnight at Lodge. All meals included included.
Day 3: Maasai-Mara-Serengeti
This will be a travel day. Early morning breakfast, drive to Serare border point and after immigration formalities cross to Tanzania and proceed to Serengeti. Lunch served on your way. You will arrive in your lodge late in the evening. Overnight at Lodge at Serengeti. All meals included.
Day 4: Serengeti
Game driving in Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle Overnight at Lodge All meals included.
Day 5: Serengeti-Ngorongoro
After breakfast you proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area descending into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater considered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density worldwide. Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. You might expect to see the Big Five’‘ in one day. Proceed to Lake Manyara for overnight
Day 6: Lake Manyara /Amboseli
Today you will visit the last national park on the ‘Northern Circuit ‘after breakfast and descend to Lake Manyara National Park , known for its ‘tree climbing lions’, which uncharacteristic for lions climbs trees. A large area of the park covers the alkaline Manyara Lake, which seasonally is visited by large colonies of flamingo and other water birds. On the Lakeshore, you can spot elephants, hippos, buffalo, banded mongoose, various antelopes and gazelles. Later proceed to amboseli with on the way dinner and overnight at Lodge/
Day7: Amboseli(Full)
Morning and afternoon game drives over the park’s dusty roads (Giving the true meaning in Maa language Amboseli meaning dusty whirl winds), you’re likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, Gazelles, Impala and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of birdlife (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs will be stunning with Elephants, which makes Amboseli popular as there in hundreds. Dinner and overnight Lodge
Day 8: Amboseli
A last game drives of Amboseli before leaving for Nairobi or leave after lunch, driving to Nairobi where you will catch you outbound flight.
